The SHELLWIN project aims to contribute to the diversification of European aquaculture industry by increasing knowledge in the nutritional requirements of European lobster and purple sea urchin at their early life-stages.

To this end, the SHELLWIN project will develop high-performance microdiets able to sustain growth and development of European lobster and purple sea urchin larvae and post-larvae.

Riasearch on SHELLWIN:

New microdiets for European lobster and White-leg shrimp post-larvae

Riasearch performed preliminary trials to test the biological efficacy of the microdiets produced for European lobster and white-leg shrimp post-larvae in the context of the project.

The shrimp diets viability was further evaluated by comparing with commercially available alternatives. Additionally, feeding tables for the microdiets developed were elaborated.
